Predicting 4 West Alabama High School Games

Last week I again went 2-1 and Tuscaloosa County was again the "L" I took by picking them to win. The Wildcats travel to Thompson this week and they owe me one so I am picking the Warriors and ninth grade quarterback Trent Seaborn. Just keeping it real.

Sulligent at Tuscaloosa Academy

This one is for the region title and two home playoff games. Our man on the scene will be Xavier Houston. Since I'm speaking to the TA chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes next month, and since I respect the great season Knights QB Preston Lancaster is having, put me down for TA 28, Sulligent 24 in a barn-burner.

American Christian at Sipsey Valley

This game features a matchup between two of the top quarterbacks in West Alabama. LJ Cormier of Sipsey is at home, but Kai Young and the Patriots feature a few more weapons than do "'Da Bears." I have ACA 31, Sipsey Valley 21.

Paul Bryant at Hillcrest

Bryant is an improved team this year, but the Stampede does not have the personnel needed to knock off the mighty Patriots of Hillcrest. JD Zaza will be covering a game for us that will likely feature a mutually agreed upon running clock for the final two quarters. Make it Hillcrest 49, Bryant 13.
