Randolph to Play in Portsmouth Invitational

Alabama senior guard Levi Randolph has been selected participate in the 2015 Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, which is slated to begin on Wednesday in Portsmouth, Va.

The four-day, 12-game tournament, which will be held from April 8-11, is in its 63rd year and is one of the top professional showcases in the nation. The tournament features 64 seniors from various NCAA programs who will play in front of representatives from all 30 NBA teams, as well as scouts from numerous international leagues.

Portsmouth alum includes legends John Stockton, Dennis Rodman, Tim Hardaway and Scottie Pippen, along with many others who have gone on to NBA stardom including 2015 NBA All-Star Jimmy Butler.  Eight players that participated in last year's P.I.T. have played in the NBA this season.

Randolph is coming off an outstanding senior season, highlighted by becoming the first player in Alabama men's basketball history to earn Academic All-American honors when he was named to the 2014-15 Capital One Academic All-America Second Team. The 6-5, 208-pound guard was also named the Southeastern Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year and earned second team All-SEC honors.

During the 2014-15 campaign, the senior captain led the Tide in scoring (15.4 ppg), assists (2.5 apg), steals (1.5 spg) and minutes (35.5 mpg), while also ranking second in rebounds per game (5.1 rpg).

Randolph leaves Alabama with the most games played in a career (135) and his 120 starts are fifth-most all-time. He finished his career with 1,336 points, which ranks for 21^st on the all-time list.

Randolph will compete as a member of the Norfolk Sports Club squad. His team’s schedule will be determined at a later time.
