Report: Alabama Set to Host SEC Rival in 2024
The Alabama Crimson Tide football team is reportedly hosting the Georgia Bulldogs in 2024.
Alabama's full list of SEC opponents for next year will be released on Wednesday evening, however ESPN's Chris Low reported earlier in the day that Georgia will be traveling to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to take on the Crimson Tide next fall.
"Alabama and Georgia will meet during the 2024 regular season in Tuscaloosa, which will be only their fifth regular-season matchup in the past 20 years, sources told ESPN on Wednesday," wrote Low.
This will be the first time since 2020 that the Bulldogs will play at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
According to Winspedia, Alabama and Georgia have met 72 times in history. The Crimson Tide leads the rivalry 42-26-4, but the Bulldogs are currently on a one-game winning streak after defeating Alabama 33-18 in the 2021 College Football Playoff National Championship Game.
The opponent release will be on Wednesday. June 14, 2023, at 6 p.m. CT on the SEC Network.
