Rings – and Ferraris – Over Lambos
The recruiting catchphrase "rings over Lambos" gained a new meaning as it was announced that Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban will be part of the ownership group opening a new Ferrari dealership in Nashville, TN.
Not only are the national championship rings more important, but Saban would rather hook you up with a Ferrari than a Lamborghini.
The store will be knowing as Prancing Horse of Nashville and will feature a nearly one acre showroom, in addition to three separate libraries, a lounge with a cafe, and a nine-bay service department. Prancing Horse will be one of just 39 Ferrari dealerships in the United States, and 60 in the world.
The over 14-acre facility will be located just off of Interstate 40 near Nashville International Airport and will be the sixth automotive dealership that Saban has a stake in.
The most important part of the store for Ferrari owners and enthusiasts will be the service department. As of right now, owners in the Nashville area have to drive four and a half hours to Roswell, GA for dealership quality maintenance, something that is considered essential in the Ferrari community.
Ferrari holds a special place in the hearts of many automotive enthusiasts because of its unique business approach. Rather than having racing teams to help market the cars it sells to consumers, it sells cars in order to fund its racing teams. Just under 240,000 Ferraris have ever been made, less than the number of Toyota Tacomas sold just in 2021.
It's been a big year for the Saban's non-football ventures. Just weeks ago, the Alamite Hotel on 6th Street in Tuscaloosa, a boutique hotel they have a stake in, opened.
