If Thursday night was a true preview of Southeastern Conference play in 2013, we should be in for quite a treat. Chances are we probably wont see anything as good as that Ole Miss-Vanderbilt game, but there are still a few games with SEC teams worth watching Saturday.

Mark Richt will try to buck a long trend of underachieving in a season that the Dawgs hold a preseason top five ranking.

There are no other conference games this weekend and will only be one more (South Carolina at Georgia - next Saturday) before we dig into SEC play on Sept. 14.

There is no doubt that the game of the week will come in the form of a top ten match up between old school rivals.
GAME OF THE WEEK: Georgia at Clemson - ABC - 7 p.m. CT
What to Watch: The Dawgs' talented, but inexperienced defense against Clemson's high-powered offense and possible Heisman candidate Tajh Boyd. Also keep an eye on Aaron Murray who will have a lot more pressure on his shoulders than last season.

SECOND BEST: LSU vs. TCU - ESPN - 8 p.m. CT
What to Watch: Will Jeremy Hill play? And if so, how much? It will be interesting to see how Les Miles handles Hill after allowing the team to vote him back in after an indefinite suspension. LSU reloads on talent as well, the Bayou Bengals are a dark-horse national title contender if they can put the pieces together quickly.

BEST OF THE REST: Alabama vs. Virginia Tech - ESPN - 4:30 p.m. CT
What to Watch: What freshmen will emerge as early contributors  for the defending national champs. Also, look for how the new Bama offensive line handles the Hokies front seven. It very well could be the best overall defensive front that the Tide faces until LSU in November.

Other Notable Games
Washington State at Auburn - ESPNU - 6 p.m. CT
Western Kentucky at Kentucky - ESPN News - 6 p.m. CT
Mississippi State at Oklahoma State - ABC/ESPN2 - 2:30 p.m. CT
