On Tuesday, the Southeastern Conference selected Alabama pitcher Montana Fouts as the conference Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season. Fouts is credited with all three of No. 2 Alabama's victories against Mississippi State over the weekend, allowing just one run through 14.1 innings pitched.

Her only run allowed came during Game 1 in Friday's 2-1 victory where Fouts pitched a complete game giving up just three hits. She totaled exactly 100 pitches to 11 strikeouts in both her Game 1 and Game 3 appearances and collected 23 "K's" for the weekend homestead.

She was only in to pitch against one batter in Game 2, closing the game in a pinch by relieving the freshman Alex Salter in the seventh inning. She characteristically struck out the lone hitter on six pitches before Alabama would come back to win and clinch the series after a 6-1 deficit.

Fouts has now won the award 10 times across her four-year stint in Tuscaloosa and most previously secured back-to-back SEC Pitcher of the Week selections in February of 2022.

She's thrown 13 complete games in 2022 and leads the SEC in strikeouts with 203 on the year.

The Crimson Tide has a doubleheader with North Alabama and Alcorn State visiting Tuscaloosa on Tuesday. They'll travel to College Station, TX, for the next SEC series against Texas A&M with game one starting at 6 p.m. CST on Friday, April 22.
