Junior outfielder KB Sides has been named SEC CO-Player of the Week for her great performance in the weekend series against the Arkansas Razorbacks. Sides notched a .778 batting average against the 20th ranked Razorbacks and led the team with seven hits. Her efforts at the plate aided the Tide in two run-rule victories over the weekend. She had multiple hits in all three of the weekend contests and is now tied for the team lead with eight multi-hit games on the season.

Sides now has a .483 batting average, with 22 RBIs, 20 runs scored and has stolen four bases on the season. The Crimson Tide is 14-8 on the season with a 2-1 SEC record and will play in the T-Town Showdown this weekend against BYU, Texas and Bryant in the last non-conference event of the season. Sides will look to keep her bat going and help the Crimson Tide string together wins. Her SEC honor was the second weekly accolade for the team this year as freshman Lexi Kilfoyl won SEC Freshman of the Week in the second week of the year.
