Today, Sides announced on her Instagram that she would be staying in the SEC West to play her graduate transfer year with the Arkansas Razorbacks. Sides, a Dora, AL. native started 47 games for the Crimson Tide last season, primarily in right field.
Sides spent four seasons with the Crimson Tide and decided to transfer for her COVID eligibility year. As a freshman, she appeared in 44 games primarily as a pinch-runner. In her sophomore year the Dora, Ala., native gained her spot in the Alabama outfield and would go on to start 134 games in her career.
Alabama hits the road with even more positive news as both of the Crimson Tide’s questionable injury situations look positive heading into their first game with the Razorbacks on Friday night.
Junior outfielder KB Sides has been named SEC CO-Player of the Week for her great performance in the weekend series against the Arkansas Razorbacks. Sides notched a .778 batting average against the 20th ranked Razorbacks and led the team with seven hits. Her efforts at the plate aided the Tide in two run-rule victories over the weekend. She had multiple hits in all three of the weekend contests and is now tied for the team lead with eight multi-hit games on the season.
