After a dominating performance in the first game of the season, the Alabama Crimson Tide will play there first game at Bryant-Denny Stadium against the Arkansas State Red Wolves.

The Red Wolves will be led by quarterback Justice Hansen who threw for 423 yards and six touchdowns against Southeast Missouri State in their season opener. Will Hansen taste the Alabama secondary who played well against Jawon Pass last weekend, or is a Tua Tagovailoa led Crimson Tide offense too much for the Red Wolves to handle?

Here is who the Tide 102.9/100.9 staff has winning this weekend in the Crimson Tide's home opener.

They say the biggest week of improvement is from week one to week two. Well, that will not bode well for Arkansas State. With very few Offensive glitches, look for an even more explosive offense as Tua settles in as the starter. The defense will be tested by the spread out, hurry up Arkansas State offense, but Lupoi and crew corrects the mental mistakes and the lapses in coverage. The outcome of the game is of little question, while the question of when and if Jalen Hurts will run out on the field looms large. Once again, Bama wins a lopsided affair, racking up 62 points scoring in all three phases of the game again and holding Arkansas State to 10 (which comes late).

The talent gap will be a huge factor on Saturday. The pass rush will and athletes will be a nightmare for Arkansas State passing game.

The competition within the team makes Bama ready to play regardless of opponent. Look for the speed on defense to be a huge factor. The only drama in this game is will Jalen Hurts play.

We now know that Tua Tagovailoa is Alabama's starting quarterback. Jalen Hurts is the backup and there is a lot of interest in whether or not Hurts will play on Saturday against the Arkansas State Red Wolves? I believe Hurts will play in the first half just like he did against Louisville. Now to the game. Arkansas State has an explosive fast paced offense and quarterback Justice Hansen threw six touchdown passes to six different receivers in a 48-21 season opening victory over Southeast Missouri State. Clearly, the Red Wolves go up a notch or ten in competition this weekend in Tuscaloosa. ASU will score a couple of touchdowns but this will be another lopsided victory for the Crimson Tide.

A-State quarterback Justice Hansen opened the 2018 season by throwing a Sun Belt Conference-record six touchdown passes against Southeast Missouri State. That was the kind of production most expected when he signed with Oklahoma out of high school. If the Red Wolves are to hang around in this one, they'll need everyone around Hansen to have the games of their lives. If not, this one will serve as sort of a scout team look for Ole Miss.

Tua Tagovailoa provides more evidence that he is a superstar in the making and will take his game to the next level. Tua got the bulk of first team reps during practice this week, which will only add to the consistency of the Crimson Tide’s passing attack. Arkansas State provides a good challenge for Alabama’s defense and the final tune-up before opening up SEC play.

How prolific can this offense be in 2018? That’s the question for me and a lot of people. Alabama typically comes out a little slower in week two after the big non-conference opener, but this offense might be able to overcome those struggles and still post a big number. Arkansas State should make a few big plays in the passing game with Justice Hansen to keep this one within the number but the Tide is too tough.

Both Alabama and Arkansas State opened the season last week with impressive victories, but for the Red Wolves, reality will set in against college football's top ranked squad. The Crimson Tide will roll in their home opener.

The Crimson Tide won in dominating fashion last week against the Louisville Cardinals and I don't expect anything different in their home opener. Quarterback Justice Hansen can throw the football and will continue to test that Alabama secondary, but they should me last week they can hang. Tua Tagovailoa will have a big game against the Arkansas State defense and Alabama will win big.
