‘T-Rob’ Leaving Alabama
Alabama secondary Travaris Robinson is not staying to be part of Kalen DeBoer's staff at the Capstone.
Saturday morning,-"T-Rob" accepted a job at Georgia to be Kirby Smart's c0-defensive coordinator and secondary coach after two years at Alabama..
Alabama nation had hoped Robinson would stay on and help DeBoer bring decommitted five star Ryan Williams of Saraland back into the Tide fold.
Now, that task will likely fall on three people: DeBoer, his expected General Manager Courtney Morgan and his highly respected receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard.
While Georgia has never been a finalist for Ryan Williams, the Dogs could now enter the picture. Williams is currently visiting Texas A&M. He is scheduled to visit Alabama next weekend followed by trips to Texas and Auburn.
Robinson is a former Auburn DB and some thought he might be lured to his alma mater to be DC and help recruit Williams, but that won't be the case.
DeBoer has not announced his staff and how many are coming with him from Washington, but did tell Alabama's players at a Friday night meeting that at least some of that group would follow him to Tuscaloosa.
