Eli Gold has found another job after being released by the University of Alabama.

Lost in the hoopla of the Boston Red Sox winning the World Series is the fact baseball will be losing one of its pre-eminent color commentators.

After 34 years of broadcasting baseball games, analyst Tim McCarver said Wednesday that he would not seek a new contract with Fox when his current deal ends after the 2013 season.
