Inside the Tide

It has been a rough two weeks for Alabama softball. This has been the worst two-week stretch that I have been apart of since I started working with the program in 2009. The most frustrating part about losing five of the last six games is that we were one play away in four of those five losses...

A frustrating weekend for those of us who follow Alabama Softball (I'll have more on that in an edition of "Inside the Tide" later this week). On the SEC front, four teams have a shot at the league title heading into the final weekend although the chances are slim for both LSU and Missouri...

WOW! What a weekend of SEC Softball. Don't think we've seen that many surprises in one weekend. If we keep seeing curveballs like that, these last two weeks are going to be fun. For now it looks like the SEC race is down to two, although if either Alabama or LSU sweeps the series this week, they could stay in contention going into the last weekend of the season as well...

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. I sure did! It has been a long time since I've had a weekend off in April. Looking back, nothing too shocking happened in the SEC. The one eye-popper was Arkansas taking two of three in Missouri. The Hogs are looking good right now and have a very interesting series coming up this weekend with Kentucky...

Well, just like that we are halfway through Southeastern Conference play. While you might think going from playing five and six games a week to playing just three or four a week, that this might be when the season slows down, it is actually the time of year when things really speed up...

April is upon us. That means we’re at the halfway point in SEC Softball play and with Alabama starting out with three of its first four conference series on the road, to be sitting at 8-4 is not bad at all. Three of those losses were by one-run coming on the road against a top-ten team...

Greetings from Tuscaloosa! It has been a quick three days at home since getting back from Knoxville and tomorrow morning we head back out on the road. And no, I have not unpacked yet! (Gotta do some laundry tonight) The trip to Knoxville wasn’t exactly pleasant for the Tide...

Another week and another six victories for the Crimson Tide. This was the most impressive week Alabama softball has put together yet in my eyes.
