Former Alabama linebacker Henry To’oTo’o is headed to Houston, Texas, after the Texans selected him at No. 167 overall in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

To'oTo'o is coming off one of his best years at the collegiate level, earning first-team all-SEC honors in his senior season to go along with his second-team all-SEC honors in his sophomore and junior seasons.

After transferring to Tuscaloosa from Tennessee, To’oTo’o proceeded to take reign of the Crimson Tide defense and was a key leader in Alabama’s 2022 Sugar Bowl victory. The Sacramento, CA native finished second on the team in total tackles with 94, to go along with his 2.5 sacks in his final year on campus.

The 6-foot-2 linebacker measures up well with the new style of fast, hard hitting linebackers. At the NFL Combine, To’oTo’o ran a 4.62s 40-yard dash, so there’s no question about his athletic ability. To’oTo’o can read defenses like an NFL-vet, he will always be at the bottom of a tackle, and he’ll fit in very nicely with Houston's defense.

The former Alabama linebacker is drawing comparisons to Eric Kendricks and Blake Martinez, two defensive studs who seem to always get to the ball-carrier first.
