On the back of last week's 2012 SEC Championship vs. Georgia, this week's Crimson Classic Replay is the 2013 National Championship where the Alabama Crimson Tide traveled to Miami to take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Notre Dame was led by linebacker Manti Te'o and Stephon Tuitt defensively and quarterback Everett Golson offensively. Early on it was obvious the Irish were not physically capable of matching with the Tide.
Eddie Lacey powered ahead on a 20-yard touchdown to open the game's scoring. Off an AJ McCarron touchdown pass, Alabama took a dominant 14-0 lead into the second quarter.
The Tide continued to dominate in the second tacking on another two touchdown scores from TJ Yeldon and an AJ McCarron to Eddie Lacey connection.
Lacey would go on to a bull of a game finishing with 120 yards on the ground and another 17 through the air back up by his two touchdowns.
Carrying a 28-0 lead into halftime, the second half was academic. The Tide split scores with the Irish in the final two quarters to bring home its 15th National Championship.
Though Lacey was named offensive MVP, AJ McCarron shined in his own right, thowing four touchdown passes on 20-28 passing for 264 yards. As back-to-back champions, this was McCarron's second championship as a starter and third with the team.
