The Alabama Crimson Tide women's basketball team squared off with the Auburn Tigers Sunday for the Power of Pink game in Coleman Coliseum. In a gritty, low-scoring affair, the Tide took home the victory by a score of 69-46.

Fan favorite Brittany Davis led the Tide in scoring with 18 points points while also delivering whopping 17 rebounds in an effort that would have made men's coach Nate Oats jealous. 14 of Davis' rebounds came on the defensive side of the ball, which played a huge part in limiting the Auburn offense.

Graduate center Jada Rice had a game worth forgetting. In 15 minutes on the hardwood, she produced just four points and fouled out of the game.

Overall, the Tide shot 50% from the field and 80% from the charity stripe while dominating the defensive board. Alabama pulled down 33 defensive rebounds, giving Auburn next to no second-chance shots.

Auburn's lack luster offense was led by Kharyssa Richardson. The dynamic freshman forward racked up 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

The Tide victory puts them at 8-4 in the SEC (19-6 overall), slotting it into 5th place behind Ole Miss and ahead of Mississippi State. The Tide next take on the Vanderbilt Commodores on Feb 16 at 6 p.m. in Coleman Coliseum.
