Tua Tagovailoa declared at the scouting combine on Tuesday that he expects to be cleared for all activities by his doctors on March 9. Tagovailoa is up in Indianapolis this week getting his body measured and medically checked, going through the team interviews and speaking to the media. Tagovailoa stated that he plans on holding an individual pro day on April 9, two weeks after the Alabama’s team pro day on March 24.

Tagovailoa spent Monday at a local hospital from around 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. going through medical scans and tests. He stood at an even 6 feet tall, the shortest of all the quarterbacks in Indianapolis. Tagovailoa weighed 217 pounds, the fourth lightest quarterback. His left hand measured at 10 inches, tied for the fourth largest throwing hand among quarterbacks, but his right hand measured at 9 and 7/8 inches. Tagovailoa goes through his day-to-day life right-handed but learned to throw the football with his left as a child. Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm had the smallest hand measurements among quarterbacks. Tagovailoa’s arm length was 30 and ½ inches, tied for the shortest  arms among quarterbacks, and his wingspan measured 75 and ¼ inches, fifth shortest among the quarterbacks.

Tagovailoa’s next checkpoint will be March 9 where he expects to receive full clearance from the doctors to participate in all pre-draft activities. His agent, Leigh Steinberg expects he will attempt 60-80 passes at his individual pro day on April 9.
