Mark Norris Shines With five TD Performance in TA Win
Mark Norris has quickly established himself as one of the best quarterbacks in the Tuscaloosa area. Week after week, he continues to show poise, high football IQ, and incredible leadership. Norris' talent was yet again on display tonight, both through the air and on the ground, as he and the rest of the Knights exploded for seven touchdowns and kept a commanding lead for the entirety of the game.

Sulligent received the opening kickoff, but quickly punted. Norris and the offense wasted no time getting to work, as they worked down the field and eventually into the endzone on a 20-yard touchdown from Norris. Both teams traded scoreless possessions after that, but Sulligent would eventually cut the lead to 7-6 on a quarterback scamper of their own.

To keep a long story short, the rest of the first half was nothing short of an offensive masterclass from the hometown Knights. Norris led four consecutive scoring drives, albeit one did start on the seven after an amazing kick return from Ty Johnson. Sulligent found the endzone on yet another QB run, this one much more impressive though, as Johnwil Spruiel busted tackles all the way down the field. That was their last score until late in the fourth.
It was much of the same to begin the second half, as a Mark Norris touchdown run got things going on the opening drive of the third. There wasn't a ton to write home about after that, as for the most part TA was able to set the game on cruise control and coast to their seventh win of the season with a 48-26 victory.
Look for Norris to have a big game again next week as Tuscaloosa Academy will host Coosa Christian, coached by a man whose name we're all familiar with: Mr. Rush Propst.
