Tuscaloosa-Area Teams Make AHSAA Playoffs
The high school football regular season has come and gone, and with it, begins the race to Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Alabama, the home of the UAB Blazers and the host of the 2024 AHSAA Super Seven.
The Super Seven is the host of the state championships for the Alabama high school football season. It was on a rotating basis with Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, and Auburn, but it is currently in flux because of the potential for Alabama and Auburn to host playoff games in their home stadiums.
The Blue Map is awarded to seven teams over three days, with 1A all the way to 7A playing their state championship games from Wednesday, December 4 to Friday, December 6 this season.
