Wade LeBlanc Gets $650,000 in Deal with Mariners
Pitcher Wade LeBlanc has a $650,000 salary in his one-year contract with the Seattle Mariners.
The 33-year-old left-hander can earn $50,000 in performance bases for starts as part of the deal announced Sunday: $25,000 each for 10 and 20.
LeBlanc agreed in January to a minor league contract with the New York Yankees that would have given him a $1 million salary while in the major leagues if added to the 40-man roster. He had a 5.27 ERA in 13 2/3 innings over seven spring training appearances with the Yankees and was released Friday.
A veteran of nine major league seasons, LeBlanc was 3-0 with a 4.50 ERA in eight starts and three relief appearances for the Mariners in 2016.
