Each week during the NFL regular season, I'll award one standout Alabama player of the week whose performance boosted his team to victory. The only criteria being his team must win. At the end of the season, I'll name the MVP and hand out a few other awards to recognize the excellence the Alabama Crimson Tide has present in the NFL.

With a league-best 55 (counting Jalen Hurts) active players under contract across 28 franchises, there are plenty of options to choose from. Here's this week's winner:

Mac Jones tossed three touchdowns en route to a 45-7 blowout victory over the Cleveland Browns, earning him a second Bama Pro of the Week award in four weeks. Jones completed 83% of his 23 passes for 198 yards while being sacked just two times against the vaunted Browns pass rushers. His 142.1 passer rating was the highest in the NFL in Week 10.

While Mac Jones is continuously doubted because his play isn't as flashy as other big-name quarterbacks to enter the league in the past few seasons, Jones continues to play a steady game in the NFL, relying on his own strengths.

“We’re confident and we know what the formula is for winning the game,” Jones said. “We just have to continue to do that. We can’t be satisfied with where we’re at. We're not where we want to be and we’re going to continue to work every day and this week is a quick week. We’ve got to be ready to go for the game Thursday.”

Jones is winning over the attention of his colleagues in the NFL, though. Former LSU defensive back and current Kansas City Chief Tyrann Mathieu took to Twitter Tuesday morning to back the Patriots rookie quarterback.

While Jones isn't making the insane plays that his fellow quarterbacks are making, he has been efficient in every phase of his game. Having completed 69% of his passes through 10 games, he's on pace to break Dak Prescott's rookie completion percentage record.

Arguably the most impressive factor in his performance over the Browns was that his team was short-handed offensively. Running back Damien Harris, a noted friend and former Crimson Tide teammate, missed the game dealing with a concussion. While New England rushed for 184 yards, it did so without its top back

The now 5-4 Patriots will travel to Atlanta to meet the struggling Falcons next week.
