Who Will Make the 2015 Final Four?

This should come as no surprise to anyone. These Wildcats are well on their way to completing the first perfect season in Division I basketball since the 1975-1976 Indiana Hoosiers. Star forward Alex Poythress' season ending injury before the Wildcats played a game seemed like a detriment to John Calipari's squad, but junior Willie Cauley-Stein has filled the role to near perfection. With a roster filled with NBA talent, it comes to no surprise that Las Vegas currently gives Kentucky 5/7 odds to win it all, meaning you have to bet $5 in order to win $7, which is to say it's pretty expected that UK will win it all.

Defense, defense, defense. One of the most cliche phrases in most sports is "Defense wins championships." Virginia is living and dying by this motto (mostly living). Basketball is ultimately an offensive sport, but UVA can both score a lot and prevent teams from scoring, giving up 50.7 points/game, good enough to be the best scoring defense in the nation. If you can hold teams under 60 points throughout the NCAA Tournament, then you've got a good chance at winning every game.

The Badgers are a very dangerous team. Star forward Frank Kaminsky is a collegiate version of Dallas Maverick Dirk Nowitzki: tall, lanky, has touch around the rim, but can shoot the lights out from downtown. He's nothing short of a mismatch for most players in college basketball. Add to that their good guard play and great X's and O's coaching from Bo Ryan, this team is a good pick to win the national championship.

When Duke lost to Notre Dame 77-73 earlier this season, many thought that the Fighting Irish's victory pointed out Duke's glaring weaknesses, but after this past weekend when Duke overwhelmed Notre Dame by 30 points in their second meeting of the season, The Blue Devils are back at the top of the basketball world. Coach Krzyzewski eclipsed the 1,000 win mark earlier this season, and with the talent of guys like freshman guard Tyus Jones, Diaper Dandy Jahlil Okafor (also a candidate for Player of the Year), and senior guard Quinn Cook, the Dukies are lined up for a great run come March (although they do have a recent history of dropping their first game in incredible upset fashion, i.e. 14 seed Mercer last year and 15 seed Lehigh in 2012).
