2025 4-Star LB Schedules Visit to Tide This Upcoming Season
Class of 2025: Four-star LB Ty Jackson announced that he will return to Tuscaloosa on September 28th for Alabama's home game versus Georgia, according to On3 Vice President Steve Wiltfong.
Based on Jackson's On3 Scouting Report, the 6-foot-1, 197-pound linebacker is starting his senior year at Seminole Ridge High School (Loxahatchee, FL). As a junior, he excelled and appeared everywhere on the field, recording 135 tackles, and five forced fumbles, and demonstrating his coverage skills with two interceptions that were both returned for touchdowns.
Jackson's tremendous hits and extraordinary speed allow him to play "Sideline to Sideline." The highly sought-after linebacker embodies athleticism, and he can also be used as a wide receiver when the offense needs him.
On3's class of 2025 No. 1 LB is already familiar with Alabama's campus, having already visited the Tide four times.
Jackson recently took an official visit to Tuscaloosa on June 21st. Jackson's recruiting battle remains close, but Alabama may have gained ground after losing 2025 four-star Jaedon Harmon to SEC rival Tennessee on Sunday. This elevates Jackson to even higher importance than he was previously. According to On3's Recruiting Prediction Meter, the Crimson Tide presently has a tiny advantage, with a 25.2% chance of landing the excellent linebacker.
Harmon's choice to switch to Tennessee harmed a position group that already lacked experience. Alabama's linebacker room is anchored by Jihaad Campbell and Deontae Lawson, both of whom are on the preseason Butkus Award watch list. The room behind these two juniors is fairly young, with only two seniors.
Kalen Deboer and his staff are hoping to capitalize on their next meeting with the four-star linebacker in September. With Georgia coming to town, the atmosphere will be tremendous, and this may be a top-five matchup. This is bound to influence the senior linebacker's decision.
Ty Jackson's recruitment is far from over, and with the season approaching, the four-star class of 2025 linebacker does not appear to be in a hurry to make a decision, as he has also scheduled visits with Florida, USC, Florida State, Penn State, and possibly the Tennessee Volunteers, according to On3's Steve Wiltfong.
