Alabama Adds Second Weapon to 2024 Class in Georgia Tight End
The Alabama Crimson Tide pulls in its second commitment of the day on Tuesday and it comes in the form of 2024 4-star tight end Martavious Collins. The 6-foot-3, 241 pound tight end hails from Rome High School in Rome, Ga., and is the second player to commit in the 2024 class.
Collins has been primarily recruited by offensive line coach Eric Wolford and tight ends coach Joe Cox and chooses Alabama over offers from Auburn, Georgia, Arkansas and several others.
Alabama became the ninth school to offer Collins a scholarship in April of 2022, according to 247Sports, he's now accumulated 18 offers from major programs throughout the nation. He is considered the No. 18 prospect in the state of Georgia by 247Sports.
Collins joins Perry "Uno" Thompson as the second commitment in the 2024 class as Alabama gets a head-start on the class ahead.
As a sophomore he was the third leading receiver for Rome High School hauling in 21 passes for 268 yards with one touchdown.
His stock is sure to rise as he continues to excel in Georgia Class 6A football.
