Alabama Announces Rotation for Opening Weekend
The Crimson Tide baseball team returns to play this weekend, hosting Bradley in a three-game series to start off the 2025 season. Alabama Baseball's official X account announced Alabama's weekend rotation.
Let's dig further into Alabama's starting rotation for this weekend's series versus Bradley.

Friday, Zane Adams
In Friday's opener against Bradley, the sophomore from Porter, Texas, who made 13 starts last season, will open the weekend as Alabama's starting pitcher.
Adams, who is entering his second year with the Crimson Tide, is looking to come back even stronger this season after a solid freshman year. The left-handed pitcher earned a spot on the All-Freshman SEC team for the 2024 season, finishing with a record of 4-5 and maintaining an earned run average (ERA) of 5.37. During the year, Adams recorded 47 strikeouts while allowing only 27 walks, appearing in a total of 16 games.
The Tide's game on Friday will begin at 4 p.m. CT in Sewell Thomas Stadium.
Saturday, Riley Quick
The redshirt sophomore from Trussville, Alabama, will be Alabama's starting pitcher on Saturday.
Quick will make his first start on the mound since suffering season-ending elbow surgery following Alabama's 4-0 victory over Manhattan last year in the Tide's second game of the season.
The redshirt sophomore will look to pick up where he left off, with Quick having a solid Freshman season in 2023, with the 6 foot 6 255 pound pitcher recording a 1-1 record with two saves while only allowing nine earned runs in 22 innings pitched while recording 26 strikes, with opposing teams having a batting average of 2.44 against the Hewitt Trussville alumni.
The second game of Alabama's three-game series versus Bradley will start at 1:00 p.m. CT on Saturday.
Sunday, Bobby Alcock
The Redshirt Senior from Lynn, Massachusetts, will start the final game of the Tide's opening series this weekend. This will be Alcock's first start in an Alabama uniform.
Alcock transferred to the Crimson Tide last season following three seasons at Gardener Webb, where he was voted Big South Pitcher of the Year and first-team all-conference in 2023. Alcock had a 3.27 ERA throughout his three years at Gardner Webb, amassing 185 strikeouts and allowing only 115 hits.
The former Big South Pitcher of the Year aims to replicate his success in the SEC this season.
The opening pitch for Sunday's game will be 1 P.M. CT.
