Alabama baseball will face Ole Miss on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. CT in the 2015 SEC Tournament first round at the Hoover Met, the SEC office announced on Saturday evening.

Alabama wrapped up its season with a win over seventh-ranked Vanderbilt to secure the 11th overall spot in the tournament. The Crimson Tide enters with a 30-26 overall record, including a 12-18 mark in conference play. Sixth-seeded Ole Miss enters the tournament-opening contest with a 30-25 record and finished 15-14 in the SEC.

The Alabama-Ole Miss rivalry is the second-oldest between the Crimson Tide and another SEC opponent, beginning in 1895. The all-time advantage goes to UA, 205-143-2, but the Rebels lead the conference tournament matchups, 5-3. In the last meeting between the two during the SEC Tournament, Alabama came away with a 7-5 win in 10 innings on May 23, 2013.

Alabama returns to the tournament for the third consecutive year and fifth time under head coach Mitch Gaspard. The winner of Tuesday’s matchup will move on to face the third-seeded Texas A&M Aggies at 9:30 a.m. CT on Wednesday morning.

All of the games will be televised nationally. The championship game will air on ESPNU at 3:30 p.m. CT on Sunday, May 24, with all other contests airing on the SEC Network.
