Alabama MBB Junior Guard Aden Holloway Arrested in Tuscaloosa
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - On Monday, Alabama men's basketball junior guard Aden Holloway was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of marijuana and failure to affix a tax stamp, according to a Tuscaloosa Police Department spokesperson.

"Agents with the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force conducted a search of a residence in the 400 block of 30th Avenue East this morning. The agents recovered more than a pound of marijuana, paraphernalia, and cash. Aden Holloway, 21, was charged with first-degree possession of marijuana and failure to affix a tax stamp. He was transported to the Tuscaloosa County Jail on Monday morning. Bond was set at $5,000," the spokesperson said.
Holloway is no longer listed as an inmate of the Tuscaloosa County Jail, which typically means he has been released on bond.
Holloway is in his second season at Alabama after transferring from Auburn after his freshman season with the Tigers. starting 27 games for head coach Nate Oats this season. He's averaging 16.8 points, 3.8 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per game while shooting 48.1% from the floor and 43.8% from three-point range while playing 28.4 minutes per game.
UPDATE: Holloway's mugshot was released by the Tuscaloosa Police Department.
UPDATE: The University of Alabama has released a statement regarding Aden Holloway's arrest on Monday.
“The University is aware of the allegations and is working to gather more information. The student has been removed from campus pending further investigation by the UA Office of Student Conduct," the statement read.
According to Pete Thamel of ESPN, Holloway has been removed from the team until he goes through the school's investigative process, which is "a process all students would go through in this situation."
