The Alabama men's basketball team got a huge shot in the arm in terms of NCAA Tournament hopes last week, not only by beating Tennessee by 18 points on the road, but also as three non-conference foes that the Tide defeated made their way into the RPI Top 100.  Alabama are on a six-game winning streak and beginning to get national recognition, though they are still viewed as being on the outside looking in.

The fans are certainly excited about Saturday's home game against the Kentucky Wildcats, especially as the top-ranked team has struggled against some lesser teams as of late.  But the team must keep their focus on Tuesday's contest against the South Carolina Gamecocks in Columbia.  Frank Martin's team is 0-2 in the SEC, but they scored some quality non-conference wins against teams like Iowa State, Clemson and Oklahoma State.  The Gamecocks are also in a virtual must-win situation as an 0-3 start in conference would be tough to recover from.

On Monday, head coach Anthony Grant and team captain Levi Randolph spoke to the media as the Tide prepare for the Gamecocks:
