Five-star class of 2025 wide receiver and Alabama commit Ryan "Hollywood" Williams is the 2022 Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Alabama.

The sophomore had a huge season, recording 88 receptions for 1,641 yards and 24 touchdowns, as well as 57 rush attempts for 700 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Williams led the Saraland Spartans to a 14-1 record and a 6A Alabama High School Athletic Association state championship this past year.

The offensive weapon ranks No. 24 nationally, No. 6 in wide receivers, and No. 4 in the state of Ala., according to 247Sports Composite. 

The Auburn legacy announced his decision to go to the Capstone during the Alabama vs. Texas A&M game in October of 2022.

“First off, the first time I came here I felt at home. I enjoy myself here and my family does too. Also, I love the competitive nature here and feel like I will fit in, and everyone loves to win," said Williams to On3Sports' Hayes Fawcett about Alabama.

Williams is currently the only commitment for the class of 2025 for the Crimson Tide.
