The Alabama Crimson Tide men's basketball team took down the Auburn Tigers Wednesday night, completing the first season sweep of the Tigers since the 2015-2016 season. While watching the men's team dismantle Auburn was satisfying in and of itself, two other Crimson Tide sports teams stepped up big this year to complete something not seen in Tuscaloosa in a long time.

The football team and women's basketball team, with their wins over Auburn this year, secured the first three sport sweep of Auburn since the 1977-78 season.

This is just the third time in school history that this feat has been met, with the first three-sport sweep coming in the 1976-77 season.  In that same time period, Auburn has secured the three-sport sweep just once, going 5-0 in 2006-07.

While the Alabama's utter dominance across three sports is impressive, this year has actually seen even more Tiger losses at the hands of various Tide sports teams.

Alabama gymnastics and women's soccer both defeated Auburn in their matchups, adding insult to injury for Auburn fans everywhere. The Tigers have a few chances to even the score this month, with a tennis matchup coming on March 4 and a three-game softball series starting March 12, but Alabama currently sits ranked 17th in tennis according to the Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings and Softball is riding high as a top five team in each major poll.

The Crimson Tide have completely bullied Auburn in all facets this season, tyrannizing the Tigers. Right now is as good a time as ever to be an Alabama fan, and if the decimation of that affectionately known "cow college" continues, then so be it.
