Alabama Corner Josh Jobe Declares For NFL Draft

After coming up short in the 2022 national championship game, it is now time to say goodbye to several Alabama players. Crimson Tide faithful has already seen a handful of players announce intentions to enter the transfer portal and now its time for NFL Draft decisions.

The first decision comes from senior Josh Jobe as, according to Matt Zenitz of On3, he has announced that he will not return to Tuscaloosa for his additional COVID year and instead prepare for the NFL Draft.

Jobe started for the Alabama secondary for the past two seasons, he unfortunately dealt with a turf toe injury in 2021 that ultimately forced him into season-ending surgery.

Despite surgery on his toe, Jobe is still considered a Day 2 selection in this year's NFL Draft. Rounds 2 and 3 are held on the second day of the NFL Draft weekend.

In four seasons of action Jobe recorded 129 tackles, 19 pass break-ups with three interceptions, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.

The former 4-star recruit out of Miami looks to give Alabama a defensive back drafted for the 11th consecutive year as Nick Saban personally coaches the Tide secondary.

Alabama's cornerback room will still have plenty of skill heading into 2022. The Tide will likely start Kool-Aid McKinstry and incoming transfer Eli Ricks at corner, however Khyree Jackson, Trequon Fegans and Earl Little Jr. will have plenty to say about that next fall.
