Zyan Gibson, a four-star in-state defensive back, announced his commitment to the Alabama Crimson Tide via Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports.

Gibson is a 5-foot-11 cornerback from Gadsen City in Gadsen, Alabama.

He announced his top four schools, which included the Crimson Tide, on December 14.

Weighing 177 pounds, he chose the Crimson Tide over the Miami Hurricanes, the Auburn Tigers, and the Tennessee Volunteers.

He is rated as the No. 67 overall prospect according to composite, the No. 8 cornerback in the country, and the No. 4 player in the state of Alabama.

Gibson has taken two unofficial visits to Alabama in 2024, visiting the Crimson Tide on June 28 and October 26.

Gibson is a three-sport athlete, running track as well as playing football and basketball.

He is the second commitment for Alabama in the 2026 recruiting class, joining fellow in-state prospect Vodney Cleveland, a defensive lineman from Parker High School in Birmingham, as members of the Crimson Tide's recruiting class.
