Alabama Earns Commitment From Texas A&M Transfer
Alabama continues to roll in the transfer portal, with the latest addition adding to the trench play for the Crimson Tide.
According to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports, Alabama has earned a commitment from former Texas A&M offensive lineman Kam Dewberry.
Dewberry, a 6-foot-4, 300-pound offensive lineman, was rated as the No. 81 overall prospect in the 2022 recruiting class for Texas A&M.
Dewberry originally chose the Texas A&M Aggies over Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Texas.
In 2024, Dewberry appeared in 12 games, with offensive snaps in 10 games for the Aggies. The majority of his snaps were taken at left guard, which is a position Alabama will need to fill in 2025 with the likely departure of potential first-round guard Tyler Booker.
In 2023, Dewberry started three games for Texas A&M, with two starts coming at left guard and one at right guard. He came off the bench against Auburn and helped lead the Aggies to victory before starting against LSU and in the Texas Bowl for the Aggies.
