The Alabama Crimson Tide continue to get positive news late on Monday night. In addition to Kalen DeBoer rounding out his initial coaching staff at Alabama, Alabama recently landed a commitment from Michigan transfer safety Keon Sabb.

Alabama has landed its second transfer commitment of the night. Washington transfer tight end Josh Cuevas has committed to Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide.

Cuevas spent the first two seasons of his college career with Cal Poly, where he recorded 62 receptions for 734 yards and six touchdowns for the Mustangs. He transferred to Washington in 2023, where he appeared in all 15 games and recorded four catches for 164 yards and one touchdown.

Cuevas joins a tight end room that is hurting for depth a little following the departure of Amari Niblack to Texas via the transfer portal. That doesn't mean the room is devoid of talent, however. Alabama still has Robbie Outz, CJ Dippre, Danny Lewis Jr., and Ty Lockwood all returning, while the Crimson Tide also added four-star prospect Caleb Odom to the room in the 2024 recruiting class.

Alabama also hired a tight ends coach today, hiring former Georgia Southern offensive coordinator Bryan Ellis as its tight ends coach.
