Alabama Football 2nd Practice of Fall Camp Observations
TUSCALOSOA, Ala. - The Alabama Crimson Tide returned to practice for day two of fall camp on Thursday morning. The Tide again practiced in spider pads as the Tide ramps up toward the first day of pads just under a month from the start of the season.

The media was able to watch roughly 15 minutes of Thursday morning's practice; here are a few of our observations from a boiling Thursday morning in Tuscaloosa:
Alabama's Linebackers Look the Part
The Crimson Tide's linebackers, led by Virginia Tech transfer Caleb Woodson, look the part after the departure of Deontae Lawson, Justin Jefferson, and Nikhai Hill-Green. The pecking order during the very limited portion of practice that we saw was:
- Caleb Woodson
- QB Reese
- Cayden Jones
- Luke Metz
- Abduall Sanders Jr.
- Duke Johnson II
- Xavier Griffin
- Zay Hall
Alabama's Defensive Back Room is Loaded
We spent some time today taking a look at Alabama's defensive back room, which is loaded with talent. The Crimson Tide's cornerbacks worked with secondary coach Maurice Linguist on Thursday, with the order looking like this:
- Zabien Brown
- Dijon Lee Jr.
- Red Morgan
- Dre Kirkpatrick Jr.
- Nick Sherman
- Jorden Edmonds
- Chuck McDonald III
- Zyan Gibson
- Carmelo O'Neal
One note: Sherman was in a black non-contact jersey on Thursday morning.
Alabama returns to the practice field on Friday, August 7, and is set to open the season on Saturday, September 5, against East Carolina.
