Alabama Falls Out of AP Top 25 After Getting Shellacked by Florida on Sunday
The Alabama Crimson Tide men's basketball team fell out of the AP Poll for the first time in 42 weeks, ending the fifth-longest active streak in the country, after Alabama was shellacked by the Florida Gators 100-77 in the Stephen O'Connell Center on Sunday afternoon. Alabama's midweek victory over the Missouri Tigers in Coleman Coliseum wasn't enough to save the Crimson Tide from falling out of the AP Poll.

Alabama was dominated on the glass and in the paint by Florida on Sunday afternoon, with the Gators out-rebounding the Crimson Tide 44-33, and scoring 72 points in the paint to Alabama's 26. The Gators also had 11 dunks to Alabama's one, and scored 20 layups to Alabama's 10.
The loss to Florida was Alabama's seventh on the season, with the Crimson Tide's next two games coming against opponents ahead of Alabama in the current SEC standings:
Texas A&M (Wednesday, Feb. 4)
At Auburn (Saturday, Feb. 7)
