The upcoming Monday Night Football game between the NFC East division rival Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles includes Alabama "feel-good stories" on both sides of the ball.

In probably one of the biggest feel-good stories in the NFL so far this season, Commanders rookie running back Brian Robinson Jr. returned to the field on October 9 against the Tennessee Titans, just six weeks after being shot twice in an attempted robbery. The very next week, the Tuscaloosa native recorded his first touchdown in the NFL, which ended up being a game winner, putting Washington over the Chicago Bears 12-7. In the five games he's played so far this season, Robinson has put up 219 rushing yards and one touchdown on 67 rushing attempts.

On the other side of the ball on Monday night, quarterback Jalen Hurts leads the only undefeated team in the NFL in the Eagles. Starting off the season 8-0 for the first time in franchise history, and only the twenty-eighth team to do it all time, Philadelphia has truly looked like one of the best teams in the NFL this season, even knocking off the second best team in the NFC record wise in the Minnesota Vikings (8-1). Along with being undefeated, Hurts has looked like an MVP candidate this season, putting up 2,042 passing yards, 12 passing touchdowns and two interceptions this season as well as rushing for 326 yards and six touchdowns so far this season.

The Commanders and the Eagles already played once this season in Week 3. While Robinson didn't play, Hurts led the Eagles to a 24-8 win on the road, going for 340 yards and three touchdowns through the air, with 169 of those yards and one touchdown going to former Alabama wide receiver and teammate DeVonta Smith.

Robinson and Hurts played two seasons together at Alabama (2017 and 2018), where they ended up winning the 2017 CFP national championship game against Georgia and going to the 2018 CFP national championship game against Clemson. Robinson also won a national championship in 2020 against Ohio State.

The Washington Commanders play the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, November 14, at 7:15 p.m. The game will be aired on ESPN.
