Alabama vs. Florida State: Kickoff Time Announced for Highly Anticipated Season Opener

With 109 days until Alabama kicks off against Florida State in Tallahassee, Florida, to start the season, the kickoff time has been set for the Crimson Tide and the Seminoles.

According to Brett McMurphy, Alabama and Florida State will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, August 30.

It's the first kickoff time scheduled for Alabama in the 2025 football season.

Alabama is 3-1-1 all-time against Florida State, with the most recent game being a 24-7 victory over the Seminoles on September 2, 2017. Jalen Hurts led the Crimson Tide with 96 passing yards and one touchdown, while Damien Harris led the Tide in rushing with 73 yards and a touchdown.

The 2025 Florida State squad will look drastically different from what the 2023 team did. The Seminoles hired former Auburn Tiger head coach Gus Malzahn as the offensive coordinator and hired Tony White as the defensive coordinator. White was the associate head coach and defensive coordinator for Nebraska for two seasons before joining Mike Norvell in Tallahassee. In his two seasons with the Huskers, White had a top-20 defense twice.

Florida State also pulled former Boston College quarterback Thomas Castellanos out of the transfer portal. Castellanos passed for 1,366 yards and 18 touchdowns last season while rushing for 194 yards and one touchdown. He was injured in Boston College's 37-31 victory over Syracuse.
