Cross, a Huntsville native, arrived in Tuscaloosa in 1986, hauling five passes for 75 yards and a score.

In his sophomore and junior seasons, Cross racked up a combined 36 receptions in the next two seasons for 384 yards and three touchdowns.

Cross elected to forgo his senior season to enter the NFL draft, where the New York Giants selected him in the sixth round.

Cross spent his 13-year career in the Big Apple, winning two super bowls (1991, 2001). Cross recorded 201 receptions for over 2,000 yards during his career.
