Alabama Battles Michigan, Penn State, USC for Critical 4-Star DL

The Crimson Tide continues to hunt for top-tier defensive linemen in the transfer portal, and Alabama is hot on the trail fore one of the top four-star defensive linemen in the country.

According to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports, Alabama is among the four finalists for four-star defensive lineman Titan Davis.

Alabama is joined by Michigan, Penn State, and USC as finalists for the Saint Louis, Missouri, native.

Davis, a 6-foot-5, 270-pound defensive lineman, is ranked as a top-ten defensive lineman in the 2026 recruiting class and the No. 102 overall prospect in the class. The Tide's primary recruiter for Davis would be his position coach in Tuscaloosa, defensive line coach Freddie Roach.

Davis has already been to Tuscaloosa twice, visiting the Tide on March 3 and April 12. April 12 was Alabama's annual A-Day spring practice.

The mammoth of a defensive lineman has four official visits currently scheduled, with Alabama getting the first crack at him this weekend, on May 30. After the Tide, Penn State gets a visit on June 6, USC gets one on June 13, and Michigan gets the final visit on June 20.

In 2024, Titan Davis was a wrecker along the defensive line for the De Smet Jesuit Spartans, tallying 46 total tackles, 18 tackles for loss, and nine sacks. He helped lead the Spartans to a 12-2 record, clinching the Missouri Class 6 state championship.

Alabama currently has just one defensive line commitment in the 2026 recruiting class in four-star Kamhariyan Johnson, from Muscle Shoals, Alabama. However, the Tide is aggressively pursuing defensive line prospects for the 2026 class, as Alabama will likely lose several top defensive contributors after the 2025 season to the NFL draft.
