Alabama Football Practice Report Day 5
Day five of Alabama Football Fall camp is wrapping up, and the Crimson Tide is 25 days away from taking Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium against Western Kentucky.
I spent today looking at Alabama's wide receivers and defensive backs. The receiving group worked on a couple of new drills (new = media has not seen it yet). One drill included body control when route running by using sticks to keep the receivers from throwing their body around when cutting.
The receivers also worked on running "go" routes, running downfield and trying to make a catch over the top of the defensive back.
We even saw some quarterback and wide receiver connections and quarterback-tight end connections.
Zabien Brown was upgraded from a cast to a club on his injured hand, but Kalen DeBoer said on Sunday that he is set to return to full speed soon.
Alabama Football continues work, with press conferences from the defensive coordinator, Kane Wommack, and some other Alabama defenders and coaches set to take place on Tuesday.
