Alabama Statistical Leaders Entering Second Bye Week
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama Crimson Tide earned its second bye week of the regular season, accumulating a 7-1 record (5-0 in SEC play) through the first 10 weeks of the season. Alabama has defeated four ranked teams so far this season, with two of the victories coming on the road. In addition to the four ranked wins, Alabama has defeated three unranked opponents since its week one loss to Florida State.

Suppose Alabama can continue to build on its strong performances in October. In that case, the Crimson Tide will likely return to the SEC Championship game in Atlanta, Georgia, during the first weekend of December. An SEC Championship win would officially clinch a spot in the 12-team College Football Playoffs, but an 11-win season should have Alabama as one of the best 12 teams in the country, regardless of the SEC title game.
As we prepare for the final month of the regular season, Alabama's stats have been an intriguing thing to track, with the passing game dominating the stat sheet, led by Ty Simpson. No one wide receiver has taken the reins as the dominant force for the Crimson Tide, but a committee has Alabama thriving in the passing game. The Tide's run game has struggled, but the veterans are keeping Alabama's offense alive and efficient.
Here are Alabama's statistical leaders through the Crimson Tide's first eight games of the 2025 season:
Passing - Quarterback Ty Simpson
Simpson has only started eight games in his career (all eight come in the 2025 season), but he has taken the lead in the Heisman Trophy race and is in contention for being a first-round pick in the 2026 NFL draft.
Simpson's Stats:
177-261 (67.8% completion), 2,184 yards, 20 touchdowns, 1 INT, 162.8 Rating
Rushing - Running Back Jam Miller
Miller missed the first three games of the season for Alabama and departed the Tide's 27-24 win over the Missouri Tigers with a concussion. Despite his injuries this season, Miller is still the leading running back for the Crimson Tide during his senior campaign. Sophomore running back Kevin Riley is second on the team in rushing yards.
Rushing Stat Leaders
Jam Miller: 80 carries, 308 yards (3.8 yards per carry), 2 touchdowns
Kevin Riley: 47 carries, 181 yards (3.9 ypc)
Germie Bernard: 15 carries, 94 yards, 2 touchdowns
Receiving - Wide Receiver Germie Bernard
Germie Bernard has become one of the biggest weapons for Alabama this season, with the Crimson Tide trusting the second-year Washington transfer in several big-time moments this season. Behind him, Alabama has a plethora of talent in Ryan Williams, Isaiah Horton, Lotzeir Brooks, and others, as Alabama has seven pass catchers with 100 yards or more on the season.
Receiving Stats Leaders
Germie Bernard: 38 receptions, 526 yards (13.8 yards per catch), 6 touchdowns
Ryan Williams: 33 receptions, 495 yards (15.0 ypc), 3 touchdowns
Isaiah Horton: 22 receptions, 272 yards (12.4 ypc), 5 touchdowns
Lotzeir Brooks: 16 receptions, 255 yards (15.9 ypc)
Tackles - Justin Jefferson
Alabama linebacker Justin Jefferson is making the most of his final season with the Crimson Tide, making key stops in one-score games against Missouri and South Carolina, while leading the Crimson Tide in tackles. He's also forced a pair of turnovers this season for the Crimson Tide. Jefferson has started all eight games for Alabama so far this season.
Tackles: Justin Jefferson - 47 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 pass breakups, 1 interception, 1 forced fumble
Turnovers: Bray Hubbard - 39 tackles, six pass breakups, three interceptions, one forced fumble
Sacks: Yhonzae Pierre - 29 tackles, 4 sacks, 2 forced fumbles
The Crimson Tide will return to action on Saturday, November 8, when it welcomes the LSU Tigers to Bryant-Denny Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on ABC.
