The Alabama football team remained indoors as the Crimson Tide continues preparations for Notre Dame in the Discover BCS National Championship Game. Alabama trained for two hours in shells in the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility Friday afternoon.

“It has been a long off time but I am happy to get back into it,” offensive lineman D.J. Fluker said. “It’s a one game season. Everybody has to know their assignments and get back to the fundamentals. The key this week has been for us to gel again and work on the little things. ”

Alabama will practice one more time tomorrow before taking time off for the holidays. The Tide returns to work on Dec. 26 and will practice six times before departing for Miami on Wednesday, Jan. 2.

The BCS Championship Game against Notre Dame will be played on Jan. 7, 2013, at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., with kickoff slated for 7:30 p.m. on ESPN. The game can be heard locally as part of the Crimson Tide Sports Network Coverage on 95.3 FM, 99.1 FM, and 790 AM.
