Bama Media Days: Team Chemistry – “Unbreakable”
The introductory 'Bama Media Day', brought to fruition by the Yea Alabama collective, was an all-access event for the Yea Alabama members. It also welcomed members of the media to talk to many players and coaches from both sides of the ball.
During interviews with the various players made available, there was a common theme throughout all their answers. "This team is close, bought in, and ready."
Not only that, but many touched on the message given to them by the coaches; that message? "We have to be unbreakable." This team has embraced getting to know one another on a deeper level outside of the game of football.
Linebacker Justin Jefferson mentioned that while the preseason accolades are nice, he's not worried about them because, "I just want to play for my brother to my left and my brother to my right." "I'll stick my body and legs out there for any of these guys."
One of the many things this team has bought into is leaning into their faith, getting closer to Christ. Both Germie Bernard and Jam Miller touched on this by stating that they are able to keep their mind focused through Christ.
Miller also mentioned that the team has been going to chapel together to increase that bond between them and the Lord even more.
This team not only has bought into the new systems and messages from the coaching staff, but also has bought into their faith. This team not only has the skill, but now they clearly have a different mentality than the season prior. Will this team be "Unbreakable?"
We shall see with the season opener only 26 days away. Florida State's number is up. Who will be broken? The Seminoles? Or the Tide?
After today, there might be a heavy lean towards a certain team.
