Alabama Football’s Trevon Diggs Selected to Paul Hornung Award Watch List
Alabama’s Trevon Diggs has been named to the 2018 Paul Hornung Award Watch List announced today by the Louisville Sports Commission.
Diggs is among 43 players from around the country named to the preseason list.
A versatile athlete who has filled multiple roles during his first two seasons at Alabama, Diggs is the Tide’s top punt returner and provides experienced depth on the kick return team as well. The Gaithersburg, Md., native appeared in 13 games at cornerback in 2017 after seeing time on offense and defense as a freshman.
The Paul Hornung Award is given annually to the most versatile player in major college football by the Louisville (Ky.) Sports Commission, and football legend and Louisville native Paul Hornung. The winner and his family will be honored at the annual Paul Hornung Award Banquet in Louisville in March 2019.
