Stevenson entered the portal with a "do not contact" tag.

He joins Naas Cunningham and Mouhamed Dioubate as Alabama players to enter the transfer portal after the Crimson Tide's exit in the NCAA Tournament in the Elite Eight, falling to the Duke Blue Devils.

Stevenson was a five-star recruit in Alabama's 2023 recruiting class after reclassifying from the 2024 class and singing with the Crimson Tide. A native of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Stevenson chose Alabama over the North Carolina Tar Heels when he made his initial college decision.

As a freshman in the 2023-24 season, Stevenson started five games but played in all 37 for the Crimson Tide, averaging 5.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 0.4 assists per game while shooting 41.8 percent from the floor and 31.7 percent from three-point range. Stevenson was a major factor in the Crimson Tide making the program's first Final Four last season, scoring 19 points on 5-8 shooting from three to help propel the Tide over the Clemson Tigers in the Elite Eight.

In the 2024-25 season, Stevenson started 22 games with 37 appearances, averaging 5.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game on 42.9 percent shooting from the floor and 30.7 percent shooting from three-point range.

Despite struggling at times this season, Stevenson's top performance was in Alabama's 103-80 victory over the Texas Longhorns, where he scored 22 points and collected four rebounds while shooting 87.5 percent from the floor and 80 percent from three-point range.
