Alabama Initial Availability Report for SEC Championship Game
The Alabama Crimson Tide will face the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship this Saturday, December 6, in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. The Tide has been banged up this season, and will now have one shot to prove to the CFP committee that it deserves a bye in the first round of the College Football Playoffs.
To prove it, Alabama will need to defeat the third-ranked Georgia Bulldogs for the second time this season, and the Crimson Tide will be shorthanded in the matchup. Running back Kevin Riley, who missed the Iron Bowl, will miss Saturday’s matchup with the Bulldogs as well.
In addition to Riley, Alabama will be without star defensive lineman LT Overton, who had recorded 33 tackles and four sacks this season for the Crimson Tide.
Jam Miller, who was injured in the fourth quarter of the Iron Bowl, is questionable, alongside starting tight end Josh Cuevas, who has missed the last two games with a right leg injury. Starting left guard Kim Dewberry is also questionable.
The Georgia Bulldogs ill be without starting center Drew Bobo, who suffered an injury in Georgia’s 16-9 victory over Georgia Tech on Black Friday.
Alabama will face Georgia in the SEC Championship on Saturday, December 6, at 4:00 p.m. ET. Our coverage of the SEC Championship is brought to you by Pearl River Resort and the Sportsbook at Golden Moon Casino.
