While No. 9 Alabama's 30-24 win on the road against No. 11 Ole Miss on Saturday was nothing more than a bounce back from last week's loss for the Crimson Tide, there's another team that was probably just as happy, if not more happy, with the result in Oxford.

The No. 7 LSU Tigers came into the weekend needing a win against Arkansas and an Ole Miss loss to clinch the SEC West. While the game was far from pretty, the Tigers were able to narrowly escape the Razorbacks 13-10, behind freshman linebacker Harold Perkins Jr.'s big day, which involved him getting eight tackles, four sacks and two forced fumbles Saturday, with the latter of the forced fumbles recovered by LSU to seal the game.

After LSU's win, which officially knocked Alabama out of the race for the SEC West crown, the Tigers looked to Alabama to help them officially claim the crown themselves. The Crimson Tide found themselves down 17-7 in the first half, but behind a good second half rushing attack and the defense making plays when they needed to, Alabama went on a 23-7 run to win the game, and LSU the West.

With the Rebels' loss, LSU is now the only team in the SEC West with a single loss in conference, which came in a 40-13 home beatdown against Tennessee on October 8. From there, the Tigers had to go through a string of SEC opponents to get to this point, which included winning at Florida, dominating Ole Miss at home and finally pulling the upset in overtime against Alabama in Death Valley last weekend.

The LSU Tigers are set to face the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship Game on Saturday, December 3. This will be a rematch of the 2019 SEC Championship game, where the Tigers dominated the Bulldogs 37-10 en route to an undefeated season and national championship.
