For the third time in four days, Alabama landed a commitment, its 13th for the 2014 signing class in center J.C. Hassenauer from Woodberry, Minnesota. Hassenauer recently attended a lineman camp at the University of Alabama, earning a scholarship offer after impressing the Crimson Tide coaching staff.

A three star prospect, Hassenauer checks in at 6'2 and 290lbs. He was recruited by Offensive Line coach Mario Cristobal and selected the Alabama Crimson Tide over offers from Minnesota and Vanderbilt. Hassenauer is the second offensive line prospect to commit, joining Viane Talamaivao, who committed to Alabama on May 30th.

ESPN Tide Nation's Greg Ostendorf joined The Game and noted Alabama did not sign a center in last year's class, adding Hassenauer has the potential to one day take hold of the center position.
