Alabama Lands Commitment From Florida Transfer
The Crimson Tide picked up its third commitment from the transfer portal, adding an edge rusher prospect from Florida according to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports.
Collins, standing at 6-foot-5 and 270 pounds, would likely play the "bandit" position in Kane Wommack's defense. It is the same position that LT Overton transferred to Alabama and played in 2024.
He committed to the Crimson Tide after entering the transfer portal from Florida.
he totaled 29 tackles, 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and one pass breakup in two seasons with Florida. He was named Freshman All-SEC in 2023, and a second-team All-American by the Athletic. Collins appeared in all 12 games for Florida this season.
A Gardendale native, Collins had Alabama as one of his finalists coming out of high school as a member of the 2022 recruiting class.
The Crimson Tide are likely not finished in the transfer portal, hosting four more prospects this week after hosting three last week. Alabama needed help along the defensive line, and they got it in Collins.
