Alabama sophomore Mekhi Brown has left the program for Tennessee State.

The Tennessean first reported that Brown has already enrolled at the school and moved into a dorm. If he meets requirements set forth by the program, he'll be allowed to take part and spring practice. Brown will have two years of eligibility and would be able to play this fall since the Tigers are an FCS program.

Brown confirmed the news via Twitter.

The news come just one week after Brown threw a punch at a Georgia player during the national championship game before going after an Alabama staff member on the sideline. The video of that blow-up is posted above.

Brown was a four-star prospect out of Georgia when he signed with the Crimson Tide in 2015. He'll finish his Alabama career with seven total tackles after primarily playing on special teams.
